Another fantastic day here in Semey! Started off feeding Layla her breakfast and then venturing outside for a morning walk in her stroller. We then went in to the playroom and tried on one of the dresses that I bought for her at Gap Kids. A couple of pictures are enclosed of her all decked out! During our lunch (Layla's nap) we went to the local "comfort" store and purchased a fan and a coffee maker. Went back to see Layla and fed her lunch. She thought she was funny today because during her lunch feeding when I would give her a spoonful of food, she decided to blow bubbles! Needless to say, I was wearing her mashed potatoes by the end of lunch! We then went back in the playroom, where we introduced the "dragon" toy to her. Ironic how, we brought the hat, the dress and the toy, all for a 2 year old and they all seem to suit Layla perfect! mmmmmm! We finished off the day with Layla outside during a few more laps around the orphanage. Then, our driver and Aimara brought us to the memorial site of where they use to test the nuclear weapons. That was actually very interesting. I was bummed when my camera battery died after only taking two pictures! After that, they brought us to the "biological center" or zoo as we know it as. Then we topped the day off with a game of bowling at the local bowling alley! Thomas won with a score of 162, then me with 118, then the driver, 116 and then Aimara. The high score at the bowling alley is 184, which Thomas is determined that he will beat! So you all know what we will be doing in our spare time......no pun intended! This was day 9 of 14 of our "bonding period". Should have our court day on Monday then that will give us an idea as to when we will be home! Until tomorrow!

This picture is of Layla in her new dress that I had bought at Gap Kids in Montgomery.
