8/19/10
My "Bunko" girls gave me a surprise baby shower last night! It was so nice and thoughtful! I received so many nice gifts and just can't wait to share them all with Isla!

Jager and Kalista are back in school. Kalista, a big 5th grader in middle school and Jager, a 4 year old PK.

Derek just spend 3-4 weeks with us before heading off to a new chapter in his life, college and hockey at MCC in Michigan.

Thomas started his new job in Boston this week and all is well! We are looking forward to his return home tomorrow evening!

We are waiting to hear back from our agency regarding our move to Boston. I have been in contact with a social worker in MA who claims that our move will not hold up our adoption. The CIS requirement is for one main purpose: that there is documentation that the new home meets the adoptive home requirements of the state of residence (MA) and thus keep the applicants (Thomas and I) in compliance.

If we move right before we travel to China, we can take the original report with us to China and present it to the US. officials at the visa appointment in Guangzhou. If there is a six week window of time, then we would submit the report to CIS with a change of address notification. Either way, our trip to China and adoption plans will not be delayed with an out of state move.
