Our itinerary has arrived! Looks like there will be 10 families total from our agency! All flying from Chicago or DC on Wednesday to meet up with Zhou (our coordinator) in Beijing on Thursday.
Here is a run down of what our days will look like.
Oct.22, 2010 Friday 9:00am
We will go to the Great Wall. The bus leaves hotel at 9:00am. We will have lunch by the Wall, shopping and eating at Friendship Store. After that we will come back to the city and visit the Summer Palace. We will be back at the hotel around 6:00pm
Oct. 23, 2010 Saturday 9:00am
We will visit Tiananmen Square, and Temple of Heaven in the morning. We will eat Peking Duck for lunch nearby. Then we will do shopping at Silk Factory and pearl. We will do Hutong Tour, riding a rickshaw, and back to the hotel around 5:30pm.
Oct. 24, 2010 Sunday
We will all leave hotel for the airport at 10:00am to catch 12:40, 1:00 and 1:15pm flights to different cities. We are flying to Nanning by CA1375, 13:10-16:40pm.
Oct. 25, 2010 Monday
Families to Changsha, Chengdu and Shanghai will get babies at 10:00pm.
Families to Guangzhou and Nanning (this is us) will get babies at 2:30-3:00pm.
The 24 hours bonding period will be starting. We will have to sign an agreement between us and the orphanages, meaning we are responsible for the safety and care of her/him during that period of time.
Oct. 26, 2010 Tuesday
All families will officially do the adoption registration and notary paper work. Baby is ours theoretically after that.
Oct. 27 and 28, 2010 Wednesday and Thursday
All families will do some shopping, sightseeing or visit the orphanage. If we have special request, we talk to our local guide. She/he will assist us to arrange it. It is relaxing and bonding time.
Oct. 29, 2010, Friday
We fly to Guangzhou by ZH9579, 19:55-20:55pm.
Oct. 30, 2010 Saturday
We will do baby medical exam in the morning, walking distance. We will sit down and fill the form for the visa appointment at 4:30pm in the hotel. Need only one parent with all paper you have. Takes about one hour or so.
Oct. 31, 2010 Sunday
We will go to a museum, Jade and pearl market in the morning. The bus leaves at 9:00am
Nov.1, 2010 Monday
Looks like an open day? Zhou will be busy with other families in the morning. We may walk across the street to see a local market in the afternoon.
Nov. 2, 2010 Tuesday
Zhou will go to the U.S. Consulate for visa appointment at 9:00-10:00am for us.
Nov. 3, 2010 Wednesday
Nov. 2 appointed-families (this is us) of 3 will go to the U.S. Consulate in the afternoon at 2:30pm by bus to have an Oath-taking ceremony.
Nov. 4, 2010 Thursday
Zhou will pick up visas for Nov.2 visa-appointment families of 3 (this is us) in the afternoon.
Nov. 5, 2010 Friday
3 families (this is us) will take individual van from the hotel to the Hong Kong Airport 6:00am. We fly from Hong Kong to Chicago. My mom will then fly to Tampa, Kalista, Isla and I will fly home, at last :).

Oh, Amy, this is sooooo exciting! You have to be jumping out of your skin! This has been a long journey, but it is how it should be. Isla is beautiful! She is one very lucky little girl. You and Tom are such good parents!
