What a fun filled week-end! We got our first real tree and put it up along with all the other Christmas decorations! I can't believe that Christmas is three weeks away! So much to do, so little time.
Isla went to a Pediatric Endocrinologist at Mass General Hospital for Children in Boston on Friday and we were extremely pleased with the outcome! Not only did she gain another pound (2 pds up in 4 weeks), but they decided after fully examining her not to do any further testing at this time. They want to see Isla back in four months to track her height and weight. Then make a determination if further testing needs to be done. She currently is in the 1 percentile for height and is not even on the charts for her weight. She is extremely proportion, just small for her age.
I finally got around to developing the 2 rolls of film that were given to me from her foster family in China. They are all pictures of Isla, but so sad. She just does not appear to be the happy go lucky Isla that we know and love! Out of all the picture, there are only a hand full that she is smiling. The smiles are not even close to her smile with us. It is like it is a different child in Isla's body. I'm glad and grateful that we have the pictures, but they will be put away for awhile.
We have our new social worker visiting us at our home tomorrow evening. Of course, Isla and Jager were goofing around on her bed a couple of nights ago and Isla fell off face first. So she has a nice little boo boo on her eye!
I have posted a few pictures, you can view more on my facebook page.
